Daniel’s childhood unfolded in an intensely artistic universe: his father, a collector and art historian, opened doors to studios, archives, exhibitions, and salons. There, painters, sculptors, restorers, paleographers, antique experts, and gallery owners populated the spaces of his youth. This environment sharpened his eye and ear, cultivating an early attunement to form, light, rhythm, aesthetic sensibility, and the subtle energies that animate creation.

From a young age, he was drawn to music, art, and film, compelled by the magnetic force of expressive creation. As a teenager, he played bass in several rock bands, performing on major stages and at festivals, and soon began composing his own music. His creative ambitions later evolved into producing large-scale live events — including an internationally recognized Pink Floyd tribute show and concerts dedicated to Roger Waters — immersive worlds where music, visuals, performers, and stagecraft fused into cohesive atmospheric experiences.

Daniel is the grandson of Mikhail Mihalina, Honoured Master of Sport of the USSR, former professional footballer, coach, and captain of Dynamo Kiev — a legacy of discipline, leadership, and relentless pursuit of excellence — a formative influence that continues to shape his artistic path.

In 2012, Daniel embraced directing — a natural evolution uniting musical intuition with cinematic vision. This step was preceded by deep immersion in major film and media productions across feature films, documentaries, commercials, and music videos, gaining hands-on experience across departments while complementing this practice with focused study in American programs and masterclasses led by renowned directors. He later visited major Hollywood production sets in Europe, deepening his understanding of large-scale filmmaking. His dedication, intuitive cinematic sense, and ability to transform creative briefs into evocative imagery quickly earned recognition and established a reputation for contemplative depth.

That same year marked the beginning of a profound inner journey — an exploration of Eastern wisdom and Buddhist philosophy, immersion in ancient traditions and esoteric teachings, travels to places of power, and guidance from spiritual teachers. This path unfolded through intensive purification practices, breath-centered energy cultivation, inner alchemical work, meditative disciplines, and rigorous body–mind training — including extended periods without food and ascetic discipline — leading to transformative states of expanded perception and the direct realization of his true nature. These experiences revealed that ultimate knowledge resides within, waiting to be remembered and explored. They infuse his work with symbolic resonance, contemplative cadence, and a subtle attunement to his Higher Self — seeking not merely to inform, but to awaken and transform.

As a writer-director, Daniel develops his narratives personally: he writes screenplays, voice-over scripts, and conceptual frameworks for his projects, having studied screenwriting and narrative mastery in professional programs. He is currently developing feature-length screenplays, applying the same meticulous attention to rhythm, musicality, imagery, and archetypal resonance that informs his directorial work.

Daniel is intentional in his choice of projects, aligning his creative force exclusively with constructive work that builds, uplifts, and contributes to a more conscious future — projects that elevate perception, inspire awareness, and catalyze meaningful change.
